There’s a sweetness to the toddler years that you don’t fully appreciate until they’re gone. Back then, the days felt long and sticky — tiny hands reaching for you, toys scattered
everywhere, someone always needing a snack. They are still like that but with more independence. But tucked inside those everyday moments were the quiet lessons that ended up preparing my girls for school long before we ever talked about preschool or kindergarten.
I didn’t have a curriculum. I didn’t have a checklist. I just had two curious toddlers and a desire to help them feel confident in their world. Looking back, these were the little things we practiced at home that made the transition to school feel gentle instead of overwhelming. If you're feeling lost, here are some ideas you may want to check out and see if it works for your family. We love combining learning and fun. And these books helped a lot with those two!
Play Smart Brain Boosters, Play Smart Skill Builders, I Can Do That Stickers, Bob Books Set 1, Bob Books Set 2, Happy Triangles Jumbo Crayons, Scissors, Glue
Until the next tiny moment!
